Longpu Glacier of Mt. Everest
Longpu Glacier is on the north side of Mt. Everest. Its length is 22.2 km and covers an area of 86.9 kn2. The terminus of glacier is at 5,154 m elevation. It has been the dream of any geologist: to reach the highest peak in the world - Mt. Everest (8,850 m) and its magnificent Longpu Glacier with superb ice pinnacle forest.
