In August 1982, as part of the biology group of China Great Canyon Expedition, we went to Tibet and enjoyed the experience of wandering in the richest fungi kingdom in the world.   
We have collected 1.628 specimens of large fungi from the Great Canyon. There are 686 species of large fungi, 78% of the total known fungi species in Tibet. We discovered 130 species as new records for China, and 260 species as new records for Tibet. There are numerous fungi have economic value, including about 300 species of eatable fungi (35.9% of the total number of China); Medicinal fungi 180 species (24.8% of total number of China) etc.
