Deciduous shrub, 1.5-3m high. Single or 2-3 fascicled flowers, dark or light red color.

Flowering: July to September.  
Fruiting: August to September.

It likes cool, moisture and  light soil. Growing in forests, forestedge or bushes of east Himalayas in Tibet. When it grows in open area, the flowers show darker color.
